And Irma Boom, another Dutch artist, published a book of famous art which she reduced to color bars. I spent a lot of time during my internship working with color bars and it's a lot more difficult than it looks. But sooo cool.
That original cabinet/dresser strikes me more as art than anything practical, but it would still be a fun piece to have...
...and I've always been amazed at those color bars - even the color dots on quilting fabrics - and figured it was mostly a computer generated analysis these days. But I love the artistic composition of an image and its component colors.
